“What’s New and Good with Chef Alina Z” is a Santa Barbara-based non-scripted TV series that shows viewers how to eat healthy at local restaurants as well as how to make fabulous meals at home.

Dishes follow the following WIN-WIN-WIN criteria:
1. Good for the body
2. Good for our planet
3. Unbelievably delicious

Chef Alina Z is planning to expand the show to a global level, showing viewers how to eat the WIN-WIN-WIN way around the world.

  • ​1 cup cashews, soaked in water overnight
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 cup organic powdered sugar or sweetener of choice
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup vegan dark chocolateDirections:
    1. Drain the cashews and blend them in a food processor or blender on high with 1/2 cup coconut oil, cream, sugar, and peanut butter until silky smooth.
    2. Pour the cheesecake mixture into like muffin tins and freeze for at least 2 hours.
    3. Meanwhile, heat the remaining 2 tbsp of coconut oil and stir in the chocolate. Pour a thin layer of the melted chocolate on top of the frozen cheesecake cups. Enjoy frozen!

JACOS (Jackfruit Tacos)


  • 3 (15oz) cans of jackfruit- in brine, not syrup!
  • 7 oz chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 brown sugar or sweetener of choice
  • 1 (14 oz) can coconut cream
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 5 cups of waterJacko chipotle garlic sauce:
  • 1 (14 oz) can coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 oz chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • Salt, to tasteAvocado crema:
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 lemon, juice and zest
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp coconut creamDirections:
    1. In a slow cooker or rice cooker, combine all the Jacko ingredients and cook until all the water is absorbed.
    2. Meanwhile, blend all the sauce ingredients in a blender on high until smooth.
    3. With a fork or your hands, mash and pull apart the cooked jack furry with the sauce.
    4. For the avocado crema, blend all the ingredients together until smooth.
    4. Serve with avocado cream, thinly sliced red onions and cilantro
